Yogurt with Warm, Orange Sweetened Dates
Yogurt and homemade granola is a common breakfast for me, but in the winter, this tends to need a little “extra” too keep it from becoming too much of a boring routine.
Oranges brighten a winter morning (and afternoon and evening for that matter) and making these orange sweetened warm dates gives you a tasty addition to not only granola, but also for oatmeal, or any other warm porridge. For the simplest of breakfasts, the date and orange concoction goes great with just a dollop of yogurt and some chopped nuts. The warm dates mix with the cold yogurt, and the two complement each other nicely.
You could even serve these dates on ice cream as a dessert. Or as a topping to a cake.
See, you’re practically eating dessert for breakfast.
