Urban Gardening Around the World: Rooftop Farming in China

When it comes to urban gardening, rooftop farming is an excellent way to take advantage of unused space in otherwise very dense areas. And what are some of the most densely populated areas that come to mind? Beijing and Hong Kong.

Perennial Plate takes us to visit two rooftop farms in these big Chinese cities, where we find not only green space in the midst of skyscrapers , but also the chance for locals to get their hands dirty: at one of them, people can rent space to grow their own vegetables.
